Red Velvet Cookies Recipe
A cookie version of the classic Southern cake.

1/2tspsalt

1/2tspred food color
-
1/2tspvanilla extract

1 1/2cupswheat flour

1/2tspbaking soda

1tbsppowdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Cream the butter, sugar, cocoa, egg and salt.
- Mix in the food color and vanilla extract.
- Mix the flour and baking soda and mix into the wet mixture.
- Scoop tablespoon sized balls of dough onto a pan.
- Bake in the oven for 11-13 minutes.
- Dust with powdered sugar.
